Subject: CME Funding Request – Charting Freedom for HER

Dear [Name],

I’m writing to request CME funding approval to enroll in Charting Freedom for HER, a 10-credit accredited CME course developed and led by Annie Gallie, MD.

This course is designed specifically for female clinicians and addresses a critical need in our field: the increasing burden of after-hours charting and documentation that directly contributes to burnout, decreased clinical efficiency, and reduced well-being. It provides a comprehensive, evidence-based framework to improve charting workflows, manage inbox and documentation overload, and reduce cognitive fatigue.

The course offers 10 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and is accredited through Pinnacle Conference, LLC, a jointly accredited provider (ACCME, ANCC, ACPE).

Please find the attached course syllabus.

Supporting evidence for the effectiveness of physician coaching and workflow efficiency interventions can be found in the following peer-reviewed research:

Sincerely,

Instructions for Learning

Charting Freedom for HER is delivered entirely online and includes a combination of self-paced modules, downloadable worksheets, guided self-reflection activities, and weekly group coaching sessions. Throughout the course, learners are encouraged to apply the strategies taught—particularly around time management, charting efficiency, and systems implementation—in order to improve patient care and reduce professional burnout.

Statement of Need

There is a well-documented and increasing need to address the administrative and documentation burden contributing to high rates of burnout among clinicians—especially women physicians. Female clinicians often face unique challenges, including gender bias, dual caregiving responsibilities, and underrepresentation in leadership, all of which compound the impact of after-hours work such as “pajama charting.”

These stressors negatively affect clinician well-being, retention, and quality of care. Despite growing awareness of these issues, many physicians still lack practical, evidence-based strategies to streamline charting, improve workflow, and create sustainable work-life balance.

Charting Freedom for HER was developed to address these critical gaps. The program provides gender-informed, skills-based training, systems redesign tools, and personalized coaching to help female clinicians reduce charting time, reclaim their evenings, and re-engage with their work in a sustainable and fulfilling way.

Testimonials

“I would highly recommend working with Annie for anybody, but in particular any female physician who is feeling that “something needs to change”; I feel that I have gained a layer of armour in the fight against burnout and am more confident that “I can do this!”

- Mel

“In October of 2022, I was burnt out, 20 plus days behind on clinic notes, contemplating walking away from the practice of medicine, and struggling to be the mother and wife I wanted to be. Working with Annie changed my life. In a matter of a few short weeks of weekly sessions, I was on a path to creating my ideal ME. I was up to date on my charts, no longer had a backlog. And I was finally the mother and wife that I wanted to be. And I can say that all of this is true a year later.”

- Erica

”I have my weekends back after 20 years in practice.”
